Locally known as ‘Miners & Shiners’ of the Cornwall Tin Mining & Refining Co, they packaged their whisky in used dynamite tins to smuggle it out of the mines.
Word spread like wildfire along trading routes around the world and the Tinner Bros became famous for their delicious Black Spiced Whisky.
Inspired by Cornwall's rebellious spirit and rich mining heritage, Tarquin Leadbetter, the maverick self-taught Master Distiller behind Tarquin's Gin, is on a mission to give the whisky world a proper Cornish shake-up.
